Three UP cops suspended for dancing in uniform

Date:

Hardoi (UP): Three policemen in Uttar Pradesh never knew that dancing in uniform to the tune of Bollywood number ‘Hero to Mera Hero Hai’ would cost them dear. The trio comprising two male cops and a female cop were suspended as well as issued warning, sources said on Tuesday. All were working for the help desk at Kotwali police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district.

The constables, Vasudha Mishra, Yogesh Kumar and Dharmesh Mishra, were suspended for dancing in uniform on the road. The incident came to light after a video clipping of it went viral on social media and, immediately after that, the authorities took action against the cops. The video clipping was made in February, the police said. The police personnel are not permitted to shoot videos during duty hours and post them.
