Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced 20,000,00 jobs for the state’s youth in his Independence Day speech on Monday. Kumar’s announcement came in the wake of Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav’s assurance that he will create 10, 000, 00 jobs for Bihar’s youth. When Kumar was speaking at the Independence Day function, he said that the Grand Alliance-2 (Mahagathbandhan) will create 20,000,00 jobs in the government sector.

The Chief Minister made the announcement at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. He said that his government would create job opportunities for youth in government sector and outside that, and if his government succeeds, he will take that figure to 20,000,00. At various press conferences, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has been questioned about his promise for creating 10,000,00 jobs. In a tweet Yadav said, “Historic announcement by respected chief minister Nitish Kumar … After 10 (government) jobs, 10 lakh additional jobs will be given through other arrangements.” He also said that the announcement raised hope among the youth of the state.
