I am a big believer in God and I follow all the rules and regulations that are set by the local, state, and central government officials sincerely. For me, the coronavirus pandemic was a big-time shock of my life as I was till then not exactly knowing the importance of my life. When my relatives started passing away due to old age issues and getting infected with the COVID-19 virus, that is when I really started taking the pandemic seriously.

In my family, 6 of my relatives have passed away during the coronavirus pandemic. 10 of my relatives were infected with the virus in the first and second waves of the pandemic. Listening to the sad stories of the near and dear ones of how they coped up with their lives during the pandemic made me more emotionally vulnerable. It happened so that I even got a financial shock of my life with my brother, husband, and me getting laid off from our respective organizations due to business losses.

So, my almost two years have gone through a huge emotional and financial stress wherein I have only seen the sufferings and pain of families, relatives, and friends who were quite okay with their lives before the pandemic started. All of this sudden change in my life made me stay back at my home for the last 6 months like a quarantine period with only going out once a month to get some work done.
In this scenario, when I read the news of how the travel restrictions are getting lifted and now people are moving freely either because they are vaccinated fully or because the number of new coronavirus infections being recorded lately has been a lower trend, I really feel to share my opinion here of how I don’t want to travel to my dream destination at least till the pandemic subsides completely. I better get entertained myself by staying back home and doing what I like the most than risking my life just for the sake of posting a selfie or photos on my social media handles of my travel.
