Tour and travel is a fun activity that is a typical universal desire as it makes you live a new way, see the world with a new perspective and allow one to explore the universe.

Every year the world tourism day is celebrated on 27 September with an aim to improve the tourist spots of the world by developing the local cultures. Travelling to new places allows us to unwind, purify our brains, and find tranquilly. Plus, tourism is a major source of revenue or income for a country’s economy. The financial indexes rise as a result of this. With countries working on novel endeavours such as adventure tourism, eco-tourism, and wellness tourism, tourism has reached a new high.

As we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on society and the economy. The economies of both developed and developing countries have been impacted. The most vulnerable and marginalised communities have been the hardest hurt. The resumption of tourism will aid in the recovery and expansion of the economy. The benefits that this will bring must be distributed equitably and widely.

As a result of this, UNWTO denominated World Tourism Day and designed a theme called Tourism For Inclusive Growth. This theme is decided with a great purpose to generate an opportunity to open a new outlook for all. Therefore, UNWTO invites all its member countries as well as non-member states, businesses, sister UN agencies and individuals to celebrate this special day with great joy and ensure to grow with everyone as the world begins to open for all again.

This year, many countries participated in the unique theme and opened the gate of tour and travel to explore beyond the travel. Moreover, world tourism day is also a day to pay tribute, praise, and respect to the country’s local and small tourism spots that are just popular for travelling and not considered an ideal place to generate income. This day also reminds them of their value in the country’s growth and divulges their contribution to its economic growth.
