Are you a photographer? Or do you love to click photos as a hobby? Well, here is some good news for you. On the occasion of World Photography Day that is going to be celebrated on 19 August this year, the tourism of Maharashtra state has come up with an interesting event. Don’t worry as you won’t get to miss it because it is a week-long event of photography contest, which will have loads of live workshops on travel and food photography, heritage walk and other stuff that will keep you engaged and definitely help you to learn some interesting things of the photography world.

The Directorate of Tourism Maharashtra World has started an open to all #MaharashtraThroughMyLens photography contest on Instagram and Facebook on 11 August in which those who are aspiring to become photographers or who are already in the profession can share an image that should show the essence of the state of Maharashtra. The contest will have judges who will give you marks on your pictures by taking note of the factors such as framing, composition, innovative style, editing skills, and also social media engagement on your photos.
The submission of photos can be done by 18 August and the final results will be announced online on World Photography Day i.e. 19 August. As per the tourism department, the winner will get a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, which is followed by the second winner to get Rs. 10,000 and third winner to get Rs. 5,000/-. Also, 20 best entries will get Rs. 1,000 each.
