As per a new report, the UK is planning to remove the blanket quarantine restrictions for the holiday season during Christmas.
The move is to make sure families enjoy visiting their relatives to high-risk “red list” countries.
Restrictions of 14 days quarantine will be now reduced to five in cases where holiday tourists test negative five days after their return to the country.
The rules will be changed to start the new five-day restrictions on December 15 or 16 so that people can be free from their quarantine period as early as they get their coronavirus test results, says the report.
