Pregnancy can be a lovely experience of life, but giving birth to a child is not without its obstacles. Pregnancy alters your day-to-day life in a variety of ways, both good and negative, from what you wear to how you move your body to how well you sleep. That isn’t to say you should stay at home and avoid travel for the full nine months your child is with you.

Here are some pregnancy travel tips that ensure complete safety of mother and baby. 

Travel in a convenient time 

Middle of the pregnancy is the right time to travel. It is advised to travel between 14 to 28 weeks of pregnancy as first and third trimesters are the hard period for women to travel.  

Travel insurance

It’s great to make your travel safe and pregnancy is a critical stage in which you need more safety while travelling. Thus, make a medical coverage or travel insurance before reaching your destination on holidays. 

Don’t forget to carry medical records

It’s imperative to carry your pregnancy medical records while travelling. It’s for peace of mind and for any emergency on the trip. 

Drink more water

Dehydration can put you at risk if you are pregnant. So, hydrate your whole body by drinking more water on trips. Make sure to bring refillable water on your trip.

Make short car rides

If you are planning a long road trip, then it is advised to break up your long road trip after a certain time as long term sitting in the car can cause difficulties during pregnancy. Make a number of stops while travelling as it will make your baby safe.
