On its 50th anniversary, Walt Disney World has plans to organize an 18-month celebration called ‘The World’s Most Magical Celebration’, which will begin from 1 October 2021. The four parks at the Lake Buena Vista in Florida and the resort will be a part of the celebration.
For the unaware, on October 1, 1971, the resort inaugurated to guests, completing years that were spent to plan and design Walt Disney’s magical dream. The vacation destination from then has grown with Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. The resort also has various themed hotels, water parks, Disney Springs, which is a shopping and restaurant location.
In this year’s celebration, a new nighttime show called “Disney Enchantment” will be launched at the Magic Kingdom. The program will have magnified lighting, fireworks, and immersive projection impressions that stretch from the Cinderella Castle down Main Street, USA. Here we present some interesting facts about Walt Disney World.
1) Walt Disney World is situated in Florida, which is just outside of Orlando. The resort maintains the cities of Bay Lake, Florida, and Lake Buena Vista, Florida both of which are managed by the Walt Disney Corporation.
2) The Disney World property is about 25,000 acres, which is almost the size of San Francisco or two times the size of Manhattan.
3) The beautiful resort Walt Disney World has Four Theme Parks (Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Animal Kingdom), Two Water Parks (Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach), 20 Disney-operated hotels, 12 hotels not managed by Disney, Disney Springs which is a downtown shopping and restaurant district and some other gorgeous features like golf courses.
4) You would need a minimum of a week’s time at least to explore the charm and elegance of the Walt Disney World resort. Some can take even 10 to 15 days to visit the best places of the resort.
