Pandharpur is a beautiful and spiritual place of Vithoba temple, also known as Shri Vitthal and Shri Rukmini temple. Pandharpur is also called Southern Kashi of India by many devotees. The place is believed to be the Kuldevata of Maharashtra state. The railway station of Pandharpur lies on the Miraj-Kurduwadi-Latur railway line of Central Railway.
