Modest tips you must know for safe travel

Travelling is one thing and safely traveling is another. If you are a carefree person and have been habitually traveling alone or with friends without having to have faced any challenge or hiccups in traveling, then this blog is not for you. This article is for the ones who are travel beginners or are planning to take a solo trip in the post-pandemic world but have some fears, confusions, and anxiety in mind.

Scams, thefts are something that one can face if he shows off that this is his first travel trip and hence, one needs simple travel safety tips to have a good journey.

Avoid wearing gold, silver, or diamond jewelry while you are traveling. Irrespective of how rich or middle-class or upper-middle-class or poor you are, you don’t have to show off your jewelry possessions to people while traveling. That’s it.

Avoid alcohol if you are traveling on a bus or train alone. See it is logical that if you drink too much and sleep away, your bags and belongings in the public transport are for the thieves to enjoy their vacations. So, say no to your drinking habits.

Be smart in managing your money. Nowadays, everyone has cards – debit, credit, shopping, travel, and whatnot! But sadly even these cards get stolen and people lose lakhs of their money due to online frauds. So, be smart enough to keep your cash (quite less or only that much for travel purposes) and cards in a bag that is not easily available for snatches and robbers.

Keep a book of phone numbers whom you can call for emergency purposes. See if your mobile gets stolen or your laptop gets destroyed due to some bad reasons, you will be left with no one’s contact details, so it is better to keep a record of the important contact numbers in a small book or a paper.

Ask locals for advice but also keep your Google Maps on. No doubt locals have a lot of good information about the place you are visiting but at the same time, there are quite cunning fraudsters who can guide you to the wrong places, so it is always better to google search where you are going before taking a cab or rick to that place.
