With India recording over 4,000 deaths a day due to the coronavirus infection and over 3 lakh cases of coronavirus in recent times during the second wave of the pandemic, IRCTC has come up with an initiative that will give a fresh breath of air for professionals in Kerala.
IRCTC has introduced a special package that takes professionals to a hotel and helps them do their office work through the refreshing and beautiful ambiance in hotel rooms in Kerala. This is being given as an alternative to the work from the home setup that is currently trending in India due to the pandemic situation.
The Railways took the initiative to step up the tourism efforts and make the guests confident to avail hospitality services in the state. The package per person for a five-night stay on triple occupancy comes at a price of Rs. 10,126, which includes disinfected rooms, all three meals, twice tea/coffee, free wifi, parking area for vehicles, along with travel insurance.
In the current lockdown period, the IRCTC wants employees to set up their typical office at hotel rooms in Kerala and embrace the new normal. They can enjoy the fresh air and come out of the boring work from home that is putting a lot of people under stress and depression. Professionals can opt for hotels in Munnar, Wayanad, Thekkady, Kumarakom, Marari (Alleppey), Kovalam, and Cochin as of now. The duration of the package can be extended on a pro-rate basis.
