The government of the country and various states are coming up with new rules to make us go back to our homes and start with “shelter-at-home” life so that we save our lives and also that of others. However, there is this travel bug in us that makes us want to go outside and see what is happening in our locality or city.
It is quite natural that we cannot get away from a habit to go for a walk or sit outside our building or buy essentials from the shops on a regular basis that we have been following for many years. But do you know what staying inside the four walls of your house for a period of time is far better than getting treated in a hospital, fighting for a COVID-bed, putting the lives of others and loved ones at risk, and also crying if we get into a major law and order trouble.
You are not filthy rich to pay those bills in lakhs (please avoid taking this personally if you really are one rich guy or gal) but the fact is there is nothing beyond your LIFE. Like just imagine what if you start walking inside the 2 rooms of your house for an hour every day than taking all the risk and all precautionary measures to just walk outside your home or locality? What will happen? You think you will gain that extra pounds and look ugly in front of your circle. Well, dear, you are exposing yourself to something dangerous to just follow your earlier lifestyle or routine activities. Understand that first and train your mind to look at what you have currently that you can make the best use of to stay fit.
You have a home, a shelter where I am sure you will have space to walk around. You definitely can think of your home as a gym wherein you can start wiping, cleaning, sweeping, and doing all the physical work to get your body in shape. But just avoid traveling outside and get rid of the habit for a while. Just as the second wave of the pandemic is said to be reaching its peak, we hear or read reports that a third wave is expected anywhere between July to September this year. So, why not do yoga, meditation, dance, and sing at home than following your addiction of stepping outside your home? Think about it and do the right thing to save your and others’ lives.
