Canada, Germany, and the Maldives to resume flights for Indian travelers soon

Indian travelers looking out to venture abroad for work or personal purposes have good news now! Countries like Germany, Canada, and the Maldives are planning to reopen their borders for Indian citizens. Yes, you read it right! Commencing next week, you would be able to get into a flight that goes to Canada with a negative COVID-19 test result that has been taken at the last point of departure to Canada.

Direct flights remain disconnected till 21 July but there are connecting flights from India to Canada that can allow you to reach your destined place amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Public Health Agency of Canada has shared in a tweet that, “Fully vaccinated travelers allowed to enter Canada may be exempted from federal quarantine and day 8 testing starting July 5. Only vaccines approved by the Government of Canada will be accepted”.

For travelers going to Canada, the vaccines that have been approved are Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Astra Zeneca/Covishield, and Johnson & Johnson. However, there will be limitations for people who are not fully vaccinated or have got vaccination with an unapproved vaccine.

On the other side, Germany has also relaxed the travel restrictions from five countries that were terribly hit by the Delta strain. And these five countries include India, UK, Russia, Nepal, and Portugal. Similarly, the Maldives plans to resume flights from India and other South Asian nations from 15 July. If you are planning to travel this month to a foreign destination, then make sure that you follow all the COVID-Appropriate behavior nicely irrespective of whether people around you are following the same or not. Make sure that you socially distance yourself from others, keep washing your hands with soap water and wear a mask properly. Do not think that now you can freely roam around as the cases are declining because the virus has not yet gone completely and is evolving on a continual basis.
