Business travel to see a huge drop post coronavirus crisis

By Sahana Iyer

A new study says that environmental worries and the changing ways of carrying out work would lead to a drastic drop in both domestic and international business travel post coronavirus pandemic.

The report says that employees would like to cut down on non-essential business travel in the post-lockdown world.

As work from home has become the new normal working pattern due to coronavirus pandemic, the study suggests that the crisis will increase flexible working trends and demand the businesses to change their working models.

New technologies, where online meetings can be held, will be embraced to avoid business travel.

With the current lockdown phase, it has become clear that companies can even operate without having the need to travel within and outside the country. Hence, unnecessary travel can be avoided. Such thought process is going to leave a huge impact on the travel and tourism sector in the post-lockdown period.
