WhatsApp Rolls Out Communities Feature

Tech News – WhatsApp global rollout of its Communities feature to all countries, including India. It would allow users to have multiple groups together under one roof. To make the user messaging experience worthwhile, WhatsApp brings several new features including creating polls within a group chat, video calling for up to 32 people, and doubling the participant limit for groups.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced this new feature on Thursday. With this, users have separate groups under one “Community” to organize group conversations. The communities Feature will have new tools for admins. This feature will be available to everyone over the next few months.

On Android, the Communities tab will be displayed at the top of chats, while on iOS it will be seen at the bottom. This amazing feature challenge WhatsApp’s biggest rival Telegram and other private messaging platforms.

In addition, groups on WhatsApp are getting a group poll feature, which lets users create polls within the group quickly. This will be protected by end-to-end encryption.

WhatsApp is supporting the group limit from 512 members to 1,024, this will benefit enterprises and businesses to send messages to multiple people.
