Reliance Foundation takes up the cause of gender digital divide in India

Reliance Foundation has announced a new initiative by collaborating with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

The initiative falls under the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity (W-GDP) and is aimed at solving the gap of gender digital divide in India.

The online event that happened recently had the likes of Deputy Secretary of State of the United States Stephen Biegun, Ivanka Trump, Advisor to the President of the United States, and Deputy USAID Administrator Bonnie Glick.

The move has come to empower women economically and digitally in the country.

The initiative encourages private companies and businesses to provide employment opportunities to women and thus, Reliance will create solutions to the new programme along with W-GDP.
