Oppo seems ready for the launch of its next F-series smartphones. Amazon India has made the “Notify Me” pages for the launch of the two phones live, hinting at an imminent launch. The launch date is still not available.
Some previous reports suggested three variants this time, the F19, the F19 Pro, and a new F19 Pro+. The third variant is expected to be a 5G phone. But, later, corroborating this piece of information was a poster that was recently leaked online. It suggests there will be just two phones instead, the vanilla F19 and the F19 Pro+. Besides, there are some screenshots that a tipster claims belong to the Oppo F19 Pro+ and reveal some crucial specifications details of the said phone.
According to the tipster who goes by @imailisa0825 on Twitter, the screengrab of the settings page shows there will be support for a 90Hz refresh rate on display. This seems logical because the last F-series did not have a high-refresh-rate display. So naturally, the successor would have this feature. The screenshot also hints that there is a punch-hole setup on the top left corner, which we have seen previously. There is a second screenshot of an app that lists too much information about the Oppo F19 Pro+ hardware. The biggest takeaway is the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, which belongs to the premium category.
Oppo F19 Pro Plus specifications
The Dimensity 1200 processor was announced recently as MediaTek’s most advanced chipset for premium-end phones. This processor will also enable 5G connectivity on the Oppo F19 Pro+.
The tipster has also claimed the smartphone will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. However, there is no information on whether expandable storage will be supported on the Oppo F19 Pro+.
This phone has a model number PEPM00. Some other details, such as the display size, camera specifications, and battery capacity, are still unknown.
The tipster has some exciting intel on this phone, who said in the tweet that this phone would launch as Oppo A94 5G and Reno 5A 5G in select markets. This is besides the intense speculation that this Oppo phone is the F19 Pro+, which undoubtedly will hit some markets, possibly including India. This model number was also spotted on China’s Quality Certification Center (CQC), where it was listed with 30W fast charging. If this is true, there will not be a significant upgrade in the upcoming phone over last year’s F17 Pro. It seems Oppo is reserving the 65W fast charging only for the Reno series and Find X series phones.
For now, it is not clear when Oppo is planning to unveil the F19 series.
