Oppo A74 5G seems to be the next smartphone in the brand’s launch pipeline. Oppo is expected to launch both the 4G and 5G variants of this particular smartphone.
Apart from the connectivity options, the Oppo A74 4G and Oppo A74 5G differ in a few more aspects. While the A74 4G will ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 663 SoC, an AMOLED display, and a triple came setup, On the other hand, the 5G variant of A74, has been spotted with a 90Hz LCD, Snapdragon 480 chipset, and a quad-camera setup.
As far as the design is concerned, both the A74 4G and A74 5G feature a similar design with a rounded-rectangle-shaped camera module on the rear with an Oppo branding. Whereas on the front, these devices will get a punch-hole display.

More recently, the Oppo A74 5G was listed on an Australian retailer’s website, revealing the smartphone’s specs, images, and price. We know that the smartphone will feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate from the leak. Unlike the Oppo A74 4G, which is expected to get an in-display-fingerprint scanner, the 5G variant is tipped to ship with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication.
The Oppo A74 5G, which bears the model number CPH2197, will ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480 SoC, as confirmed by a listing on the Geekbench platform. For your information, it is an octa-core chipset built on an 8nm manufacturing process. This should be coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
In the camera department, the Oppo A74 5G will sport a quad-camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and two other sensors that should include a macro and a depth sensor.
Through Oppo A74 5G’s FCC listing, we know that the device will ship with a 5000mAh battery and Android 11 out of the box.
Apart from this, the smartphone has been spotted on quite a few certification websites, including China Quality Certification (CQC) website, EEC, Indonesia TKDN, Indonesia Telecom, and Wi-Fi Alliance certification. Meaning the launch of Oppo A74 5G is not too far.
Finally, the retailers listing has set an asking price of AUD 449 for the handset, which converts to Rs 25000 approx. The Oppo A74 5G is expected to go official on April 13.
