OnePlus, a premium smartphone brand that offers some of the best durable phones globally, had introduced – Nord a sub-brand for offering affordable mid-range smartphones and wireless earbuds in the market with power-packed features. And according to sources, the brand is ready to join the league of Samsung, Xiaomi, and others by launching the Nord smartwatch adding a new category of product to its existing portfolio. OnePlus has recently confirmed that the news is true and the brand will be launching the Nord smartwatch in India very soon.
“The Nord Watch will bolster OnePlus Nord’s hold within the wearables segment and aims to make the signature OnePlus technology accessible to a wider set of audience,” OnePlus mentioned in a statement on Monday.
OnePlus product portfolio already has the Nord hearable products like the Nord Buds, Nord Buds CE and the Nord wired earphones under its kitty. Now, it is bringing wearables too with the Nord Watch to the market, which is another smart product likely to be focused on the affordable price segment.
Though the brand has not shared too many details about the Nord Watch yet, going by the offerings of One plus ; its going by its smartphone strategy, we can expect the same software you have on the OnePlus phone in the watch. The official teaser of the Nord Watch reveals that the watch will have a square-shaped dial with a screen and a metallic finish body.
OnePlus had launched a watch last year for around Rs 15,000 in the market and but they were not ready to compete with the existing smartwatch market, especially on the software front. The users can expect an affordable version with Nord having some very useful and smart features to look forward to!
