Last week, a report claimed that Motorola is gearing up to launch three new smartwatches under the Moto Watch series. Now a Reddit thread had hinted that the Motorola smartwatch could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 chipset.
A Reddit user named TheMacJezza had posted the rear panel of the smartwatch, presumably Motorola. Sharing the picture, he wrote, “New Moto Watch backplate text is blown up, named SD4100.” The smartwatch with two buttons on the side and quick release straps reportedly made up of leather are visible in the picture.
Some of the specs were printed on the underside of the watch in the picture. It says that the smartwatch NFC, 5 ATM waterproof rating and GPS and powered by Snapdragon 4100. A charging coil is also visible in the image, suggesting that it could come with a magnetic charger.
A week ago, a Twitter user named Felipe Berhau had shared pictures of the rumoured Motorola smartwatches that could be launched this year. “Not gonna claim this is exclusive since I got it from a sales presentation, but it seems like a square-ish Moto Watch and a new @moto360 are coming soon,” he wrote. Felipe also shared the launch dates of the smartwatches. He revealed that the Moto G smartwatch would be launched in June 2021, and the Moto Watch and Motorola One Watch will be launched in July 2021.
Motorola will launch three smartwatches, including the Moto G, Moto Watch and the Motorola One watch. One of the smartwatches will feature a square-shaped dial, while the other will reportedly come with round dials, as shown in the picture shared by Felipe. The smartwatches could run on Google Wear OS. The square-shaped smartwatch could be named Moto Watch, and the other one could be named Moto One. Felipe also shared a picture of a metallic watch in silver which would most likely be called the Moto G smartwatch.
