Tech Desk: Social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter continuously making changes for a better user experience. So now, Instagram added a new feature for Instagram live. With this feature, users can turn off their video, audio, or both during live videos. This new feature is being rolled out globally for both Android and iOS users.
Instagram users can hold an audio-only chat with their followers. We think that the feature is suitable for people who are shy on camera. Now they can engage with their followers and can choose the option whether to appear on the video or not.
Those who want to use the feature will see it at the bottom of their screens while doing a live video on Instagram. Here users can click on the microphone button to mute the audio or the video.
If Instagram users switch off the video, the live video will be replaced by the display picture. However, the user will not switch off the audio or video for any other participants on the live session.

According to the report of TechCrunch, Instagram is working on this feature, and it will be soon available on the app.
Facebook is also working on audio chat products. It can include virtual rooms and a “soundbites” feature that let users post short audio snippets to their Facebook feed.
