Google Pay may soon allow debit, credit cards feature

As per a recent report, Google Pay has plans to increase its user base by providing debit and credit card payments through the app.

The new feature will allow users to add applicable debit and credit cards to their app profiles and thus, make it smoother to make contactless card payments in India.

Although there is no official release or announcement on the same by the technology giant Google.

As of now, Google Pay’s payment options include UPI IDs linked to banking accounts.

Sooner, Google will also include a feature to tokenise financial cards, which will allow to register users’ Wi-Fi card on the app and validate the details.

Some reports suggest that the rollout will be in progress and have only restricted number of cards from particular banks.
