Tech Desk – Google is making the new Gmail user interface the standard experience for users, company introduced the new design for its email service at the start of this year. In new interface, Google applications like Gmail, Google Meet, Google Chat, and Spaces are in one place. The user soon will no longer switch back to the old interface of Gmail.
With the new UI the integrated view with Gmail, Chat, Spaces, and Meet on the left side of the window also becomes standard for Gmail users who have turned on Chat. It also provides the option of customizing the side panel through settings.
Users can choose between apps to toggle between on the left side of the window. And also see a separate section for system labels and an option for customizing the same. Those who love to chat will see conversation bubbles with snippets of incoming messages along with the quick reply.
By Default, Google is showing Gmail, Chat, Spaces, and Meet in the side panel. However, in the new design, the Chat option is available on the left side of Gmail. Soon, users will no longer have the option to configure Chat on the right side.
