Your wish is now granted! Google is all set to launch the new transcribe feature for Google Meet calls. All of us use meet for our official calls because of the ease and the simple user interface. With this new development, google will save your time and save audio recordings of meetings in the form of a text. But, the feature is only for select users!
The idea is to bring in more ease and add productive features to the most used feature. The transcribed document basis the call will automatically be saved as a file in Google Drive for users with end-to-end encryption, only available to call attendees.
It will be a blessing in disguise for the corporate world who is always on long google meet calls and team members hav e to type out and save important notes for later use.
The feature is expected to be live by October 24 globally. According to sources, the feature will only be accessible on laptop and desktops for now.
The feature is being made for the users who have for Google Workspace Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, and the Teaching and Learning Upgrade users.
To begin with, the transcribe option is only for calls happening in English language. Just like other notifications, for the Google Meet calls transcription notification will also be sent to all the attendees.
Each and every members of the google call meeting will be getting the link to the transcript in the email ID post the meeting.
