Tech Desk – Apple’s iPhone 14 series and the new iPhone 14 Plus in particular couldn’t manage to woo consumers and with that Apple is now re-evaluating strategies for 2023, according to a new report.
According to MacRumors, Apple is evaluating three strategies to make its next Plus phone a success. First, it differentiates between the Pro and the non-Pro iPhone models.
Second, Apple could reduce the price of the iPhone 15 Plus variant. The iPhone 14 Plus has not performed up to the mark and its price starts at $899 for the 6.7-inch phone.
Third, there will be some differences between the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Max. The post said Apple might introduce differences around the build material and the camera.
Previously, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo tweeted that Apple would increase differences between the Pro and non-Pro models as well as the Pro and the Max.
Notably, this year Apple didn’t bring in a lot of changes to the cheaper iPhone models. the iPhone 14 and the predecessor iPhone 13 offer the same specifications as well as design. The iPhone 14 is also powered by last year’s chipset A15 Bionic, while the iPhone 14 Pro model has the latest A16 Bionic chip.
In 2023, Apple can unveil four new models under the iPhone 15 series – iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus, the iPhone 15 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Plus.
Also, The iPhone 15 series phones are expected to be powered by Apple’s next A17 Bionic chip, which offers a better camera and battery performance. It is also said, all models under the iPhone 15 series will include the Dynamic Island design, currently available on the iPhone 14 Pro models.
