Technology giants Apple Inc. and Sony Music Entertainment have discussed about the possibility of acquiring Wondery.
Wondery is currently looking forward for $300 million to $400 million in a possible sale, as per media reports.
This seems to be the largest deal in the upcoming podcasting market.
For the unaware, Wondery is the producer of “Dirty John” and “Dr. Death”. Wondery is one of the huge independent podcasting studios and networks and has a monthly audience reach of more than 8 million people.
Apple and Sony are two among the four companies who are currently in talks with Wondery for a deal, says a report.
A deal is expected to commence in the upcoming months and thus, it will be announced shortly once everything gets finalized.
So far, only Spotify has been known to buy stakes in various podcasting firms.
