The game of the second session of the first final of the ICC World Championship being played between New Zealand in Southampton has been completed. In the 56th over itself, the match was stopped due to bad light. There was only a short time left in the T-break and in such a situation, the umpires declared the T-break. India scored 51 runs in 27.3 overs in this session and lost one wicket. Captain Virat Kohli 35 and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane returned unbeaten on 13 runs. There has been a partnership of 32 runs between the two.

India got the first blow in the form of Rohit Sharma, the very first ball of New Zealand’s most effective bowler Jamieson was long outside the off-stump and was swinging out. Rohit made a mistake for the first time and put the bat on it. The ball hit the bat and went towards third slip, where Saudi took a great catch by diving.

India got the second blow in the form of Shubman Gill, left-arm bowler Neil Wagner, who came to bowl for the first time in the match, has taken the wicket of Shubman Gill. Wagner’s ball was right on the line of off-stump and was going outside making an angle. Gill defended it on the front foot, but took the edge of the bat and was caught directly to the wicketkeeper. India have lost the wickets of both the openers within just 1 run.

Earlier, the Kiwi team won the toss and asked India to bat first. Remember that the first day’s play has been completely washed out due to rain.
