New Delhi: Women’s 400m world champion Salwa Eid Nasser was provisionally suspended on Friday for not making himself available for doping test.
The Athletics Integrity Unit has accused the Bahraini runner of not providing information about his place of stay. If Nasser is found guilty, she could be ruled out of next year’s Olympics.
Nasser won the world title in October last year with a time of 48.14 seconds. This is the shortest time taken by any woman since 1985.
The players have to give information about their stay from time to time so that their samples can be taken out of the competition for surprise tests.
