Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan kicked the stumps and treated the umpires on the field during a home T20 match in Dhaka on Friday. However, he later apologized for it. The 34-year-old Bangladesh captain may have apologised, but kicking the stumps is a ‘level three’ offense and could result in a one-match suspension.
Shakib lost his cool and kicked the stumps after an LBW appeal against Mushfiqur Rahim was denied in the match played at the Sher-e-Bengal Stadium.
During the match, Shakib showed anger at the umpires’ announcement of stopping the match due to rain and uprooted the stumps at the other end.
