New Delhi: Former Pakistan captain Rameez Raja termed the humiliating defeat of the Babar Azam-led team in the second successive match of the ODI series being played between Pakistan and England and criticized the management fiercely. Before this 3-match series, the entire team had to be quarantined after 7 members of England’s limited overs format regular captain Eoin Morgan’s camp became Corona positive, due to which the ECB hastened 48 hours before the first match new team announced.
This new team under the captaincy of Ben Stokes was being underestimated in front of Pakistan, but the Pakistan team, captained by Babar Azam, has lost the series by performing embarrassingly in both the consecutive matches and now Pakistan’s team is in danger of clean sweep. After being all out for just 140 runs in the first match, Pakistan team bowled brilliantly in the second match and bowled out England for just 247 runs. After which it was felt that perhaps under the captaincy of Babar Azam, the team would be seen returning and leveling the series 1-1.
However, chasing the runs, Pakistan’s team once again proved to be a flop and lost the match by 52 runs after being all out for 196 runs. For Pakistan, Saud Shakeel played the highest innings of 56 runs, but apart from him, none of the Pakistani bowlers could stand in front of the English bowlers. Former Pakistan captain Rameez Raja expressed his dismay over the embarrassing batting performance of Pakistani players in front of a second-rate England team and said it was an below average performance.
