New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today encouraged all the Indian athletes participating in the Tokyo Olympics, saying that there is no need to put pressure on yourself, just try to give your best. In this program organized through video conferencing, PM Modi talked to all the players one by one and encouraged them.

During this, PM Modi told the players that you do not need to be burdened with expectations, you just give your 100%. PM Modi wished archer Deepika Kumari on becoming world number one. He also encouraged Praveen Jadhav, who is a track and field athlete turned archer. Apart from this, PM Modi told javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra that there is no need to be burdened with expectations. You give your 100%.

While talking to Dutee Chand, PM Modi said that the meaning of your name is brightness. You are ready to dominate the Olympics. After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Olympic medalist and World Champion winner Mary Kom and asked who her favorite player is. On this, Mary Kom said that my favorite player in boxing is Mohammad Ali, from whom I get a lot of inspiration.

Talking to badminton player PV Sindhu, PM Modi wished her the best and said that after your success in Tokyo, I will also have ice cream with you. After this, PM Modi also spoke to the captain of the men’s hockey team Manpreet Singh and tennis player Sania Mirza.

PM Narendra Modi has also started a campaign named #cheer4india to encourage the players.
