Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram said that Pakistan batsmen need to watch the top batsmen in the world and learn how they approach their game. We have Babar Azam and Rizwan is also in good form but I think Babar needs to improve his dot ball percentage in the first six overs. Players especially need to grow with playing so much T20 cricket.”
Further he said on the Pakistan Super League, Wasim said that the league is yet to produce a good batsman from the emerging category. He cited the example of Hyder Ali, who proved inconsistent in the international arena. He said, “We have 6 PSL seasons but can you name one batsman who came from the emerging category. Haider Ali’s name came up but he is not consistent. Hafeez is 40 years old, he is physically very fit and a part of the team. I am happy that he is playing well, although he is out of form at the moment. If there was another good batsman, he would have been replaced but it is not like that.
