Middle order batsman Shreyas Iyer has said that captain Virat Kohli is a role model for all the youngsters as he never gets tired and always remains energetic like a lion. Iyer had an Instagram live chat on the official handle of Delhi Capital, the franchise of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Iyer said, “Whenever he (Kohli) goes on the field, he feels like he is playing his first game. He is never tired. He is always as energetic as a lion. You have a different body language. lets see.’
During the chat, Iyer said, “When he talks or praises his teammates, it is truly an unprecedented feeling. He is a role model for all the youth.” Earlier this year, Iyer had a terrific performance in the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. In the series, Iyer had two half-centuries and a century to his name. Iyer managed to score 217 runs and it was in the three-match bilateral series. Number four is the highest run scored by an Indian batsman.
Iyer said, “If you have been playing for India for a year in that situation it means that you have sealed it.
