Sports Desk – During the match between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Mumbai’s bowlers performed well and restricted Hyderabad to 143/8, even though the pitch was good for batting. Trent Boult took four important wickets, and Deepak Chahar picked up two. Jasprit Bumrah took one crucial wicket by dismissing Heinrich Klaasen.
However, what caught the attention of fans was not just Bumrah’s bowling. In the second last over, Bumrah bowled a full toss that hit Abhinav Manohar in the abdomen. Manohar was in pain and fell to the ground. But instead of checking on him, Bumrah walked back to his bowling mark without showing any concern. This cold reaction upset many fans, especially because Manohar had hit a six off Bumrah in the previous over.
Abhinav Manohar played an important role for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He scored 43 runs from 37 balls and formed a 99-run partnership with Heinrich Klaasen, who made 71 runs from 44 balls. Klaasen’s innings included nine fours and two sixes and helped his team reach a respectable score. Manohar started slowly but picked up pace later, hitting three sixes and two fours before getting out in the last over.
Even though Bumrah’s bowling put pressure on SRH, his reaction after hitting Manohar did not go down well with the fans.
