Highest mountain in Europe and the 10th most prominent peak in the world

 New Delhi : Everester Shivangi Pathak (aka Eagle of Mountains) has completed her third summit to Mount Elbrus (5642 meters), which is the highest mountain in Europe and the 10th most prominent peak in the world. Mount Elbrus is among the seven summits and is the tallest mountain in the Caucasus Range of Russia, which is 940 miles long and some 80 miles wide.

Shivangi Pathak has already held the title ‘The Eagle of Mountain’ after climbing the Mount Everest in the month of May, 2018 and became the youngest girl from India who summited Mount Everest from Nepal side. She has also conquered Africa’s highest mountain Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 meters) in just 3 days in the month of July, 2018. In just four months’ timeframe, she has completed her three summits and dreams to expedite all Seven Summits before she completes her age 18. On the completion of her 3rd summit Mt. Elbrus, Everester Shivangi Pathak (aka Eagle of Mountains) said,” I’m heartened to be a step closer to my dream of completing the seven summits. I wish to empower the women of our country and want them to know that despite what anyone says, we can do anything we want.”

Aarti Pathak, Shivangi’s Mother said, “I am really proud of my daughter and on her completion of climbing the highest mountain of Europe. Shivangi from a very young and tender age has gone beyond the contemporary image of women in our country. Today, seeing her become an inspiration to so many girls and women around, it fills my heart with extreme pride and happiness.”

The partner who extended their support to this initiative and powered her footsteps is ‘Kasturi Memorial Trust’. They sponsored her little footsteps towards her passion for Mountaineering.  ‘Kasturi Memorial Trust’ is a Non-Profit Organisation which works on various Social Development issues. The main goal of KMT is Empowerment of Women & Skill Development of Youth.

 

About Shivangi Pathak: Shivangi Pathak is the Youngest girl of India (Hisar – Haryana), who climbed Mount Everest (8,848 meters) from Nepal side at the age of 16, on May 2018. The achievement caught the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi too, who mentioned about her achievement in his radio programme “Mann ki Baat” and later tweeted his congratulatory message. In July 2018, she also conquered Africa’s highest mountain Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 meters) in just 3 days & recently, on 4th September 2018, she has completed her third summit to Mount Elbrus (5642 meters), which is the highest mountain in Europe and the tenth most prominent peak in the world.
