Dinda retire from all forms of cricket

Kolkata: Fast bowler Ashok Dinda has announced retirement from all forms of cricket. The veteran fast bowler was a consistent performer in domestic cricket and also went on to represent India. Dinda played 13 ODIs and 9 T20I in which he picked 12 and 17 wickets respectively.

The seasoned fast bowler wasn’t able to have a long international career but continued to win matches for Bengal in domestic cricket. Overall he played 416 first-class matches in which he picked 416 wickets. Dinda represented Bengal for 10 years before a fallout with coach Ranadeb Bose strained his relations. Later on, he played for Goa and stayed a prolific performer in first-class cricket.

Dinda was seen playing for Goa in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy that ended this year. In Kolkata, he announced his retirement in front of the media. Dinda has also served in the IPL to many teams. In the IPL, he has played a total of 78 matches, in which he has taken a total of 69 wickets. Dinda may not have shone so much in international cricket, but she had a tremendous performance in the first class. He took 420 wickets in 116 matches. At the same time, List A played 151 wickets in 98 matches, in which his best performance was 5 wickets for 29 runs. At the same time, 151 wickets were recorded in 147 T20 matches, in which his best performance was 4 wickets for 13 runs.
