Mumbai: Chennai Super Kings defeated Rajasthan Royals by 45 runs in the 12th match of IPL 2021 played at Wankhede Stadium here on Monday. Batting first after losing the toss, Chennai scored 188 for nine in 20 overs and then stopped Rajasthan for 143 for nine in the allotted 20 overs.
This is Chennai’s second win of three matches and now it has got four points and it has reached the second number in the table. Rajasthan have suffered their second defeat in three matches and are at number six in the table.
For Rajasthan, Jos Buttler scored the highest innings of 49 runs with the help of five fours and two sixes in 35 balls. Apart from him, Jaydev Unadkat scored 24, Rahul Tewatiya scored 20 and Shivam Dubey scored 17 runs.
For Chennai, Moin Ali took three and Sam and Ravindra Jadeja two each while Shardul Thakur and Dwayne Bravo took one wicket each.
