“We have not been informed officially by BCCI as of now. Probably they are waiting for the clearances from the Government. Our info about IPL is coming from the media”, said one of the franchise officia.l

Along with the franchises and Emirates Cricket Board, the official broadcaster Star India is also waiting to hear officially from the Indian board about the exact timelines for IPL 2020. InsideSport has learnt from its sources in Star India that the broadcasters also are yet to be officially communicated about the IPL Schedules.

But be it the broadcasters, franchise or ECB – all have started gearing up for the IPL season but questions like logistics, standard operating procedures, exact schedules and various other details still stays pending.

According to the insiders in BCCI, all of these details will only come in first after the government approvals and second post the IPL GC meeting next week.
