RelationshipTips for couples to set the right goals during the festive season

Date:

Festive time is when family and friends come together and introduce themselves to each other. It is also the time for couples to come together to show how they are perfect for each other and are maintaining a relationship for the long term. If you are planning to visit your relatives during the festive season like the Diwali holidays or Christmas vacations or New Year’s eve, make sure to follow these tips.

1) Don’t engage in PDA:

Yes public display of affection, these days, is also considered as a thing that is too filmy and not for real. So, instead of making your relatives doubt your couple’s goals, it is better to just smile at each other when you are walking together. You can hold hands but don’t kiss or hug each other in front of your relatives when you go to visit them. It is not just against our traditional culture but also makes others doubt whether all the drama is fake or you are a couple for real.

2) Hear each other out:

If your spouse or partner or girlfriend doesn’t feel comfortable with some of your relatives who are too curious to know your bank balance and how many sexy nights you both have spent, it is better to listen to your partner. You can also skip visiting such relatives during the festive season who may put sadness on your partner’s face. You can also avoid certain questions posed by your relatives or friends that may make your partner feel uncomfortable or depressed.

3) Be with each other but not too much:

If you are visiting someone’s place during the festive season, make sure you are with each other together not physically all the time. You can make each other feel special even with your eyes and get busy with other work at your relative’s or friend’s place. People should consider you as a couple not just for your romance or relationship goals but also for how much value you add to other people’s lives as a couple.

4) Compliment more and criticize less:

Even if your friends or relatives know that you are a lovely couple, you both need to maintain your adorableness in front of others in a good manner. Do not criticize your partner or mock them in front of others. This will ensure that your partner feels respected whenever he or she comes with you to spend festival time.

5) Accept your vulnerabilities:

You can share with others how it was too difficult for you to manage your pandemic times but your partner’s presence and support made you overcome the rising tide of the unshaky waters.

Last but not the least, appreciate your relatives and friends for being a support system whenever you and your partner hit a rock or had a rough patch in your lives. Simple thanks or giving them a gift can go a long way in making them understand the depths of your love for each other as a couple and also for others.
