RLG’s Clean to Green ‘on Wheels’ to collect 5500 MT of e-waste by March 2022

July 24, 2021, Ghaziabad:- RLG India, part of Munich-headquartered Reverse Logistics Group (RLG), a leading global service provider of comprehensive reverse logistics solutions, announced the launch of Clean to GreenTM On Wheels.

the latest version of the company’s flagship campaign, Clean to GreenTM (C2G). The latest awareness and collection programme would cover 110 cities and 300 towns, and touch over four million citizens across the country.

Under the initiative, nine collection vehicles would travel across cities and towns in the country and collect 5500 MT of e-waste from end-users while conducting awareness activities amongst school students, corporate bodies, bulk consumers, retailers, members of Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), informal sector, and in healthcare camps. 

The campaign would begin simultaneously in New Delhi and Jammu in the North; Kolkata, Guwahati & Ranchi in the East; Ahmedabad in the West; and Bangalore, Chennai & Hyderabad in the Southern part of the country. The collection vehicles, accompanied by several ground teams, would follow a set beat plan; the ground teams would facilitate the collection of e-waste from end-users while conducting over 1,145 promotional and awareness activities using social media, Clean to Green portal, radio, and classified and media releases.

On ground, C2G on Wheels intends to cover 326 schools, 188 RWAs, 134 office clusters / bulk consumers, 176 retailers, 156 informal sectors, and approximately 4 healthcare camps

Talking about the company’s latest awareness and collection strategy for FY21-22, Ms. Radhika Kalia, MD, RLG India, said, “While the pandemic has had a significant negative impact across industries, we at RLG have been striving consistently towards accomplishing our mission of spreading e-waste awareness amongst the citizens of India and establishing a streamlined, formal e-waste management sector in the country. Clean to GreenTM On Wheels seeks to achieve this mission by expanding stakeholder reach and emphasizing and promoting appropriate e-waste disposal and recycling techniques in daily life. The campaign has come to grow and evolve to bring the entire country under its purview”.

Prestigious manufacturers/brands associated with RLG India include Microsoft, LG, HP, OPPO, Lenovo, Pioneer, Motorola, Fujitsu, Brother, Siemens, Haier, Videojet, Veira, SMT, Bartech, Videotex, Daiwa, Shinco, Infinix, Citi Trading, ARU, Trovo, Vizion, Alchemie, Techno, Itel and Oraimo; the campaign would actively work with these brands to promote safe disposal of e-waste.
