Rahul Parashar receives ‘Patent’ for his unique concept of ‘Vocabmetry’

Bhopal, 3 April, 2022: Rahul Parashar from Bhopal, the inventor of “ Vocabmetry” has successfully received a patent for his unique and effective conceptualisation of the method of vocabmetry.

Mr Parashar had applied for patent in 2014 with The Patent Office, Govt of India and received certificate on 30th March 2022. “The Method of Vocabmetry” is basically a unique and easy concept of English learning.

While addressing the media persons, Rahul Parashar says “The application of fundamental method is simple and universally accepted. However, if we try to impregnate its concepts in a vast subject like English, its benefits can stretch beyond imagination. There are three co-ordinates in the process of “Vocabmetry”, Start co-ordinate, distinct sound co-ordinate and End rule/co-ordinate. Vocabmetry gives a memorable touch to vocabulary. Until now, 3000 learners in Bhopal and Delhi, in addition to nearly twenty thousand digital students, have reaped enduring gains to their vocabulary. The pattern of vocabmetry has proven fruitful for the aspirants of competitive exams like UPSC, CLAT, CAT, GRE, etc.”

Vocabmetry is one such initiation by Rahul Parashar, which has even received a patent for its unique and effective conceptualisation. The inventor, Rahul Parashar applied for patent over “the method of vocabmetry” in 2014. After high level of examination and search from the patent office, the patent has been granted to the Rahul Parashar for an invention entitled a method of vocabmetry for the term of 20 years with the provision of the patent act 1970.

Numerous etymologists have tried to derive the meaning of the words from their roots of different origins. However, this process has its flaws. For instance, some of those roots, like ‘Ami’, in amiable, amicable and amiss might confuse the learner as ‘Ami’ refers to both polite and harsh. Fortunately, Rahul Parashar understood such fundamental issues and tackled the problem by developing a fascinating vocabulary enhancement process known as Vocabmetry.

Encouraged by the inclining preference for vocabmetry, Rahul Parashar now wants to spread this fundamental concept to the ground level of the education system as well. He believes that in the current education milieu, an individual can hardly escape the English language. So, if one wants to acquire a skill for their lifetime, it only deems practical to be terrific in the field. Consequently, he is in the course of tying up with over many schools to incorporate vocabmetry in their syllabus.

Story of Inventing “The Vocabmetry”:

Cramming any book and, specifically, a dictionary often accounts in the list of failed endeavours. But what if the words narrated stories to you? We might not remember the title of our English chapters from school, yet, the stories shared in the four walls of the classroom are engraved in our minds. Rahul Parashar wanted the words to resonate with his students in a similar way.

One day he sat alone in his room with a pen and paper. He opened the first few pages of his dictionary and jotted the words he saw. Then, he made a list comprising several words starting with ‘ab’, including abject, abridge, abdicate, abominable, abound etc. During the process, he realised that the pronunciation of ab synced with ‘ape’, which gave the words a character. Soon, he realised that if could categorise words with similar most common starting or ending combinations and associate hilarious comic characters to them, the terms will become unforgettable for a student.

Hence, Rahul Parashar incubated a fool-proof system, where such most common starting combinations and ending combinations along with letters in between, were termed as start and end coordinates. These dedicated a unique story to each word. As a result, Rahul Parashar developed a fundamental process of learning of vocabulary with the help of these developed coordinates and handful of 110 memorable characters and is now pursuing the expansion of vocabmetry to approximate 27,500 words.
