Bulandshahr, December 19, 2025: In view of the rising incidence of serious diseases in Bulandshahr and nearby districts, Yatharth Hospital, Noida (Sector 110) is set to launch regular specialist OPD services in Bulandshahr. The formal announcement of these OPD services was made on Friday. The event was attended by Dr. Gowthami A. V., CEO, Yatharth Hospital, Noida, along with Dr. Arun Sharma, Senior Consultant and Head of Department (HOD)of Neurosurgery; Dr. Rohan, Senior Consultant Nephrologist; Dr. Alok Dubey, GI Surgery Specialist; and Dr. Yatendra Sharma, Director, Lakshmi Hospital, Bulandshahr. The OPD services will be started at the well-known Lakshmi Hospital in the city.
Dr. Gowthami A. V, CEO, Yatharth Hospital Noida Sector 110, said, “Yatharth Hospital’s objective is not just treatment, but also timely diagnosis, correct information, and continuous care, so that serious diseases can be prevented at an early stage and people from Bulandshahr and nearby areas do not have to travel to metro cities for medical care.”
Dr. Arun Sharma, Senior Consultant & Head of Department (HOD) – Neurosurgery, Yatharth Hospital Noida, said, “We are frequently seeing cases of brain and spine tumours among patients coming from Bulandshahr and surrounding areas. Additionally, cancers of the lung, breast, and abdomen spreading to the brain or spine are also being reported. Due to tobacco consumption, unhealthy dietary habits, and lack of awareness, many patients ignore early symptoms and seek medical help only when the disease has advanced. Symptoms such as persistent headaches, weakness, seizures, speech difficulties, or paralysis should never be ignored. Timely diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and coordinated care can significantly improve patient outcomes and quality of life.”
Dr. Rohan, Senior Consultant Nephrologist, Yatharth Hospital Noida, said, “The major causes of kidney diseases are uncontrolled diabetes and high blood pressure. Obesity, lack of physical activity, unhealthy eating habits, smoking, and the rising burden of diabetes and hypertension are significantly increasing the risk of kidney disorders. Due to lack of awareness and limited healthcare access, patients often reach hospitals at a late stage. Timely screening, correct treatment, and increased awareness about kidney diseases are essential. Adopting a healthier lifestyle and consulting a nephrologist at the first sign of symptoms is extremely important.”
Dr. Alok Dubey, Consultant – Robotic & Laparoscopic GI Surgery and Liver Transplant, Yatharth Hospital Noida, said, “Cases of gall bladder stones and rectal cancer are increasing rapidly in this region, especially in areas like Jewar. With the launch of this OPD, patients from Bulandshahr will no longer have to travel to big cities for investigations and treatment related to intestinal and liver diseases.”
Under this OPD initiative, Dr. Arun Sharma will be available on the first and third Fridays of every month from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while Dr. Alok Dubey and Dr. Rohan will provide OPD services on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month during the same time at Lakshmi Hospital, Bulandshahr.
Dr. Yatendra Sharma, Director, Lakshmi Hospital Bulandshahr, said that such initiatives will ensure that patients suffering from serious illnesses do not have to travel far from the city for treatment. “It is often observed that patients with critical diseases face multiple challenges related to travel, accommodation, and expenses when they go to cities like Delhi or Mumbai for treatment,” he added.
