Lucknow: Targeting the BJP over the violence in the Panchayat elections, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav took a sharp stand and said that a befitting reply will be given if the SP comes to power.
Akhilesh Yadav said that there has been an orgy of violence in the Panchayat elections. During nomination, candidates were not allowed to nominate, members were not allowed to vote because BJP knew that it could not win the election so tried to win the election by using money, administration and hooliganism.
The BJP calls itself a disciplined party, but the culmination of their discipline was seen in Lakhimpur, where a woman was humiliated and her sari pulled in the block chief election. During the election, people’s houses were burnt and journalists were beaten up. SP was beaten up in Etawah, while in Unnao the journalist was beaten up by the CDO. Akhilesh said that BJP is the killer of democracy and by killing democracy its big leaders are congratulating each other, they are not ashamed. Akhilesh said that the people of the state have seen everything and in 2022 the people of Uttar Pradesh will answer it with their votes.
