Mumbai: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday said that the people who created uproar over the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput are silent on the death of Lok Sabha member Mohan Delkar in “mysterious” circumstances from Dadar and Nagar Haveli.
58-year-old Delkar, an independent MP from the Union Territory, was found hanging from a fan in a hotel room in South Mumbai on 22 February. According to the police, a suicide note written in Gujarati language was also recovered from the scene. In the weekly column ‘Roktok’ of Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana, Raut said that the death of an actor and the demolition of unauthorized construction by an actress caused a lot of sensation but why keep silent on the suspicious death of Delkar, a seven-time Lok Sabha member.
He said that Dalekar may have thought that the Mumbai Police would take action based on his suicide note and would catch the culprit.
