New Delhi: The actor, who became famous with the serial ‘Ramayana’, today joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Arun Govil will campaign in favor of BJP in Bengal elections.

After joining BJP, Arun Govil said that this is our duty at this time. I did not understand politics before today, but since Modi ji has taken over the country, since then the definition of the country has changed. Let my heart do what is on my mind.

Ramanand Sagar’s memory of ‘Ramayana’ shown in the 90s is still fresh in people’s minds. In this religious serial, the character of Lord Rama was played by Arun Govil and from here Arun made his identity in every household.

Born in Meerut, UP, Arun Govil studied engineering science from Meerut University. It was only after his studies that Arun Govil participated in some play.
