A never-ending tale of vendetta politics in India added another incident to its list. Congress leader Raja Pateriya was arrested on Tuesday from his house after he made a controversial comment about Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to the information received Pateria was arrested from his house in Bhopal on Tuesday.

In a viral video, Pateriya while directing the local workers was seen giving statements that were controversial “Be ready to kill Modi” was the remark that gathered attention to the matter. This led to a lot of political fights between the two parties.

Finding himself cornered, Pateriya tried to offer clarifications. He said that he meant to say that people should “be ready to defeat PM Modi if you want to save the constitution”.

According to the information received an FIR was lodged in his name on Monday. Later after the backlash, Pateria released a video in which he said that the video was misinterpreted as he is a follower of Gandhi he can never talk of violence.

Later he claimed that the video was not complete and he wanted to say that Modi must be killed politically and that everyone should unite against Modi. On the other hand, the Madhya Pradesh Congress president and former Chief Minister has condemned such statements.
