Modi’s address was mere rhetoric: Congress

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended the lockdown in the country till May 3 in view of the corona virus. PM Narendra Modi said in the name of the nation, “Every countryman has to remain in lockdown, during this time we have to follow discipline in the same way as we have been doing.” Congress has also given its response to this speech of PM Modi.

Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi said on PM Modi’s address, “We want concrete solutions to provide relief for the deprived classes, middle class and MSMEs.” Modi’s address was mere rhetoric, nothing in the name of giving specific information. Neither the poor nor the middle class were given any financial package.

Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram said on PM Modi’s address, the poor were left to make their own arrangements for 40 days. There is money, there is food, but the government will not give it. Cry, my dear country.
