Katihar/ Kishanganj: Criticising strongly Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, former National President of Congress Rahul Gandhi today alleged that both did not fulfill the promises made before the people . Mr Gandhi said that he never made tall promises and assured to waive off the farmer’s loan and fulfill all promises including employment and others after coming to power.
Addressing electoral rally in Katihar and Kishanganj, Mr Gandhi said that Mr Modi during 2014 Lok Sabha election had promised to bring back black money, to deposit Rs 15 lakh in the bank account of every person and to provide employment to two crore youth every year but after coming to power he forgot his words.
Mr Gandhi criticised NDA government led by Mr Modi for demonatisation and it’s impact, GST, handling of the coronavirus pandemic, migrant crisis, and the three new farm laws and said that demonatisation benefited the corporate tycoons like Ambani and Adani whose loan for over Rs 3 lakh 50 thousand crore were waived off whereas the common people had no option other than to deposits their money in the bank.
Similarly Mr Kumar too cheated the people of Bihar by humiliating the mandate he was polled in 2015. Mr Kumar had also promised to provide job to the migrant labourers at the time of coronavirus pandemic but he failed to do so and the labourer were returning.
He said neither Modi nor Kumar did anything to help migrant labourers when they were walking thousands of kilometres to return homes during the coronavirus lockdown. The Congress had arranged buses for the movement of migrant workers,” he said.
Mr Gandhi said that once the Grand Alliance was voted to power in Bihar, he would wave off farmer’s loan, provide Rs 2500 per Quintol on paddy purchase as it is given in Chhatisgarh, employment to youth, better education, health and others.
