New Delhi. Cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir shared a video on his Twitter handle and mocked the security arrangements made for the limited-overs series In Green for the Sri Lankan team on a tour in Karachi.
Sharing the video, Gambhir said, “So much of Kashmir has forgotten Karachi.”
In a 1 minute 26 seconds long video, two Karachi occupants in the car are seen making fun of the level of security that has been deployed for the ongoing three-ODI series against Sri Lanka. Both people explain how cricket is being played in Pakistan in a “curfew-like situation”.
More than 20 vehicles were deployed for the visiting team as they were going to the National Stadium in Karachi for the second ODI, which Pakistan won on Monday by 67 runs. International cricket has returned to Pakistan after almost a decade and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has promised foolproof security to ensure that no untoward incident happens to the Sri Lankan team.
