Speaker Joshi withdraws petition to disqualify MLAs

New Delhi: Assembly Speaker CP Joshi in Rajasthan’s political struggle has withdrawn his petition filed by the Supreme Court for disqualifying the MLAs of the Sachin Pilot camp. The Congress will now strengthen the fight on the political front.

In this case, Kapil Sibal said that there is no need to hear the court on the petition disqualifying the MLAs. This is the reason why the Supreme Court gave permission to Speaker CP Joshi to withdraw the petition in this case. After this, Kapil Sibal himself has given this information from the Congress party.

Congress has decided to run a nationwide digital campaign – ‘Speak Up For Democracy’ – on Sunday against the BJP. A day after leading a dharna at the Raj Bhawan, Rajasthan CM on Saturday said if necessary Congress MLAs will meet the President and hold a sit-in outside the prime minister’s home to settle the crisis in the state. Gehlot has a wafer-thin majority in the assembly after Pilot’s rebellion – 102 in the House of 200, against his claims of 109. Pilot had claimed support of 30 MLAs but has only 18. With this, the instability in the Rajasthan government continues.
